UPCOMING ACTIVITIES

Community Hour: June 2023

We invite the whole stage management community to join us on Monday 26th June 2023 at 8:00pm AEST for Community Hour. This will be the first session in a series of regular community gatherings where you’ll have the opportunity to connect and network with fellow stage managers, learn from their experiences, share ideas, and get support. Firstly, we’ll lay down a challenge to be completed in 30 minutes to help us support stage managers in Australia. For the second half of the session, the tables will turn and we’ll provide you with an opportunity to help you learn and receive support.

Each month will be different – different activities and topics, different days and times to suit those in rehearsal or season, and inevitably different stage managers in attendance. Keep an eye out for upcoming session announcements.

These sessions are open to the wider stage management community in Australia. To gain full access long term to the resources created in these sessions, you will need to sign up to become a member of SMA AU. In time, some resources will be made available on a public resources page.

Step away from the stage management office, and join us for an hour of fun, conversation, connection and community.

When: Monday 26th June 2023, 8:00 pm AEST / 7:30 pm ACST / 6:00 pm AWST

What: The June challenge – Do you have a favourite “SM hack” that saves you every time? Share your hack with your fellow stage managers and these will be compiled afterwards into a guide to be included in our new Resource Library.

The June reward – Find out about our plans for our Resource Library, a “one stop shop” of resources for stage managers in Australia, and tell us what you want to see included.

Where: Online

Who: Stage management community of Australia including SMA AU members, non-members, students, and associates.

How: Free to attend. Register your attendance here. A Zoom link will be sent a few days before the event. Sessions may be recorded and if appropriate may be shared in future.
